Sexually Transmitted Infections 

 

Sexually transmitted infections are passed on by having unprotected sex or genital contact. Chlamydia is the most common STI in UK. Symptoms include pain when passing urine and discharge from the penis, vagina and rectum. It is easily treated with antibiotics, but can cause infertility from pelvic inflammatory disease, if treatment is delayed.

 

Other STIs include:

  • Genital warts

  • Genital Herpes

  • Gonorrhoea

  • Syphilis

  • HIV
